The Society of Professional Journalists has awarded the Brown and White two awards in its annual Region 1 Mark of Excellence awards. The Mark of Excellence awards recognize student journalism regionally, with Region comprising the Northeast, from Central Pennsylvania all the way to Maine.
Lehigh students won the following:
First place, Feature Writing

First place, General Column Writing
Outside the binary — by Mujuni Mirembe, The Brown and White, Lehigh University
